The Big Country Choir will sing at Anlaby Homestead as part of the Anlaby Quadrangle Series with Maggie Beer and Jonathon Welch in “Enchant Your Senses”.
The magical evening of music and fine food on Saturday, August 30, will be held in the beautiful rustic surroundings of the Clydesdale pavilion at Anlaby Homestead, Kapunda.
The choir was formed in 2003 to develop and perform work at the 2004 High Beam Festival, a showcase for disability arts. Since that time the choir has continued to rehearse and perform.
Choir members come from throughout the Lower North district and the successful integrated model sees people with disabilities or an area of mental illness unite with the broader community in joyful song.
The Big Country Choir will perform a 20 minute set at the beginning of the evening and will be joined by members of the Barossa Choir of Earthly Delights and soloists from the Tutti Ensemble.
A quarter of all funds raised on the night will be given to help the choirs increase and develop their skills.
Tickets are $150 per person or $1500 per table of 10. Bookings are essential and seats are limited.
