Halfway through the term Tim Crick bombed for goal from 45 metres out but it went the wrong side of the large upright.

Halfway through the term the locals had two chances to shut the gate completely but a shot for goal from 50 metres out in the pine-tree pocket by Tohl went through off hands for a behind and a few minutes later the Rams skipper did exactly the same thing again.
Both teams went through the motions for the next six or seven minutes with the Rams in complete control of proceedings not allowing the Roosters to get any flow on to create scoring opportunities with around a hundred spectators enjoying the sunshine in front of the complex.
Four minutes into the time-on period Hall gained possession of the footy from a throw-in, handballed to Willis who kicked forward, Reed roved the crumbs, ran to 45, drove it forward, Tohl soccered it through the middle off the right boot for his third major of the game and that was it.

FINAL SCORE: BBH 12.12 (84) d NORTH CLARE 8.9 (57)
BBH coach Peter Whittlesea was happy his team never let the game slip.
“I didn’t think it was quite as good as last week for four quarters, a couple of times we got the wobbles slightly. Probably the pleasing thing was when those little things have happened in the past we’ve dropped right away but we did hold our own today, we settled and went again without turning it into a big panic,” Whittlesea said.
North Clare coach Craig Jaeschke admitted the opposition were twice as good as his team.
“They were probably two times as good as us I reckon, our guys have just been cruising a little bit I think for the last three weeks and Burra came to play today. Country footy’s pretty simple, you get the ball first you get first use of it, Burra did that and they gave themselves every chance to get in front and they had a really really good start so we let ourselves down again in the first quarter,” Jaeschke said.
